Griffith Post School Options – a community-based organisation that helps young adults with a disability to make the transition from school to community life – elected to install a prestigious SnapSports indoor ‘BounceBack’ Futsal court with in-built ‘ShockTower’ suspension for its new fitness centre that includes a new gymnasium and hydrotherapy pool.

Based in Yoogali on the outskirts of Griffith in southwestern NSW, Griffith Post School Options has leased the new court to Futsal Riverina who has been inundated by enquiries and have more than 50 teams (a 50% increase from last year) wanting to experience the new 400m2 court.

With a vibrant royal blue court and contrasting sky blue perimeter, the court with its white line looks terrific and is playing perfectly according to Rocky Marando of Futsal Riverina.

“The court is absolutely terrific. The positive comments from players, and the community interest is blowing us away. We’re really pleased” remarked Mr Marando.

SnapSports Secures Christmas Island Project

Christmas Island Community Centre
Christmas Island Community Centre to have new SnapSports floor.

The residents of Christmas Island will soon have a new SnapSports modular sport floor to replace the worn cushioned vinyl surface in their community recreation centre.

SnapSports was invited to quote on the re-surfacing by Protective Coating Systems, Picton, Western Australia who work with a number of Australian government agencies.

They became aware of the unique features SnapSports flooring offered to overcome the high humidity that impacts other fixed flooring options on the island and causes them to fail.

Following a rigorous assessment process including inspections of the recently laid SnapSports BounceBack® ShockTower® multipurpose gymnasium floor at Windaroo Valley State High School south of Brisbane, Queensland SnapSports was awarded the contract.

SnapSports Revolution TuffShield in maple with the patented ShockTower® system was chosen with installation planned for mid November.

The Christmas Island recreation centre was built in 2004 and is used by many of the 2,000 residents for activities including netball, basketball, volleyball, and badminton.

Christmas Island is about 19 km in length and 15 km wide. It is located 2,600 km north-west of Perth, Western Australia and 500km south of Indonesia. It has a population of just over 2,000 residents.

Local community sporting teams are jumping with joy at the new court surface made by SnapSports at the Riverwood Community Centre in Belmore, NSW.

Showcasing the new floor were a number of local residents enjoying their regular game of badminton on the colourful, high impact co-polymer floor with inbuilt suspension.

The US made suspended sports floor has a patented ‘ShockTower®’ system that help players perform better through its unique engineered suspension system designed to make the surface more forgiving on players joints.

Being a co-polymer, the surface is incredibly strong, durable and easy to clean and maintain. It is also modular so the entire court is totally flexible and portable if it needs to be relocated or used for another purpose at anytime.
